Big Tech: Settled or All To Play For? Mike Hoefflinger Interview

Will the 2020s play out with familiar US technology and software giants continuing to set the pace of innovation? Are new competitors and trends on the cusp of public awareness, or might we see – as Western supply chain localisation is pursued – a shift of power to Chinese companies? To get an insight into the state of these associated industries we talked to Mike Hoefflinger. A 30-year veteran of Silicon Valley, Mike was Facebook’s first head of global marketing for their advertising business and wrote 2017’s award-winning, #1 new category release “Becoming Facebook” about working with Sheryl Sandberg and Mark Zuckerberg during the company’s 2008-16 coming-of-age period. Prior to that, he was GM of the Intel Inside Program and also worked directly for Intel Chairman Andy Grove. He is currently an advisor and speaker and has worked in venture capital and with companies including Google, Accenture, Applied Materials, Pinterest and Sprinklr.
