UK Gambling: a worse hand post-reshuffle?

One of the departments most affected by Boris Johnson’s cabinet/ministerial reshuffle was Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS); despite its name, regulation of the UK’s gambling industry is also part of the department’s remit, and the position of gambling minister was one role with its previous occupant switched out. A white paper is due to be published before the end of the year: will the reshuffle be consequential for it, or are other factors more likely to influence the recommendations therein?
