Following Rishi Sunak’s maiden budget speech, we are delighted to share this same-day Primary interview with the economist Liam Halligan. Liam is an economist, author and broadcaster – who also has extensive business experience. He is best known for his weekly ‘Economics Agenda’ column in The Sunday Telegraph, which he has written since 2003. He has previously worked for The Financial Times, The Economist and Channel 4 News and holds degrees in economics from Warwick and Oxford. His latest book, ‘Home Truths: The UK’s chronic housing shortage‘, (Biteback, 2019) was described by The Times as “brilliantly written, a gem”.
